Here you can download a patch to the Mindterm SSH App(let) which allows you to tunnel through a http proxy to a computer running the httptunnel hts server. Mindbright/Appgate seem to have decided to stop distributing Mindterm, a mirror of the source of 2.1 is mindterm_2.1-src.zip. This is free for non-commercial use and can be modified if it remains for non-commercial use only. The binaries for 2.1 are available mindterm_2.1-bin.zip.
I haven't actually tried the above patch with 2.1, its based on the old patch for 2.0 which worked ok, just with a few cleanups. Mail me if it doesn't work :)
It definitely has some known bugs, including that if there is data transfer while a new POST or GET connection is being initiated, it seems to drop for some reason. Set a high connection length, and with a low transfer rate, you will be fairly unlikely to have problems. There are probably other bugs, let me know...
The httptunnel server itself really needs rewriting to allow for multiple connections etc, some time I might get around to it. It seems relatively straightforward.
To use this as a web applet, you will need to sign it for either Netscape or IE, Google is your friend. The reason for this is that for unsigned applets, network access is only permitted to the originating server, not the proxy.
